CCS Students Earn State Seals In Biliteracy, Civics
The Clinton Central School Board of Education met Tuesday evening to discuss new business. CCS Superintendent Chris Clancy thanked the voters for approving Proposition 1: Budget, and Proposition 2: Baseball and Softball Fields maintenance. Clancy congratulated the reelected Board of Education. Clancy then welcomed J'Nai Clark as a Special Education Teacher moving from another teaching position, and Nico Beyette as a Cleaner. Clinton Prepares For America 250
The Village of Clinton Board met Wednesday night to discuss new business. The Board approved a resolution approving the May 13 meeting minutes. The Board approved a resolution auditing the payment of vouchers. The Finance Committee met June 9 and not all invoices were approved at the Village Board meeting. Kirkland Plans Summer Work
The Town of Kirkland will schedule its summer roadwork now that the state budget has passed. At last week’s Kirkland town Board meeting Highway Department Superintendent Jon Scott said two miles of road in the town will be paved. Another 12 to 15 miles will have maintenance work. The department did work on the Kirkland Trail, including mowing and setting up benches. Scott said each week the department also mows in five cemeteries. Brush is being taken to Rome for disposal, he

Dedication In Clark Mills For Storm Victims
On June 22 at 7 p.m., the Clark Mills Strong Coalition is hosting a dedication ceremony at the Clark Mills Fire Department. The Coalition will dedicate the new standby generator in honor of the three people lost during the tornado that ripped through the hamlet one year ago June 22, 2025. Road Work Set For Sangerfield
At their April meeting, the Sangerfield Town Board heard about an increase in their insurance costs. Scott Fortnam of Gates-Cole said there would be a $1,600 increase in the premium. He also spoke about cyber crimes and the impact on towns. Board members approved having Fortnam look at the cost of adding cyber security to the policy; he estimated it would be about $1,500. The Town approved having McCabe and Craigfoot roads paved at a cost of $156,055. CHIPS money will be used
