Five employees of the Waterville Central School District who are retiring this month received recognition for their service. Memorial Park Art teacher Danan Christensen, Custodian Sandy Manion, Spanish teacher Kathy Owens, Math teacher and girls basketball coach Larry Stockwell and Special Education teacher Jody Thomas attended last week’s WCS Board of Education meeting. Leonardsville hosted this year’s Memorial Day parade and ceremony. The event included the large parade with candy and sirens, performances by the Mount Markham school band and students and placing of the wreath by the Johnson-Rogers American Legion Post.
