Brookfield Board Choses Consultant To Lead Search
The Brookfield Board of Education voted last week to have Oneida-Herkimer- Madison BOCES District Superintendent Dr. Patricia Kilburn lead the search for the next superintendent. Kilburn attended a BCS meeting in January and explained that her search time was part of the services offered by BOCES without a cost. Two Mount Markham wrestlers are heading to the state tournament. Kadyn Derby (215) won the Section Three Class D title with a 4-3 decision. Derby finished second at the all-sectional meet and will move on to the state tournament. Samantha Massey (107) finished first in the girls tournament and heads to the girls state competition. Wildcats Fall To Tully In D
A remarkable and historic season by the Owen D. Young/Richfield Springs volleyball team ended after a gusty, never-quit 3-1 loss to Tully in the Section Three Class D championship. The Wildcats finished 16-2 after making their first trip to the sectional final. Graduating just two seniors, the team, which was the No. 1 seed, could well be back again. Mustangs Win Sectional Title!
Mount Markham and Beaver River met for their annual clash in the Section Three Class C final, both of them again showing up unbeaten on the season.
