Request Made For Solar Moratorium In Kirkland
Town of Kirkland Board members heard a request for a moratorium on commercial solar projects last week. Town resident Stuart Culver spoke at the meeting, saying such a move does not mean the town is anti-solar, but interested in solar done right. Fitness Center Runs A Deficit
The program part of Waterville Central School District’s budget takes up about 50 percent of the overall expenses. At last week’s WCS Board of Education meeting, Superintendent Zach Abbe said the projections in the program section of the budget will increase $445,394, or almost 4 percent. The total cost is expected to be $11,648,000. History On Ice
The Clinton Historical Society opened a new exhibit this month in tribute to the Clinton Figure Skating Club. The Opening Reception included speakers who talked about the history of the Club and changes over the years. The exhibit is on display through May. The Historical Society is open on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
