Work has begun on the latest Capital Project at Waterville Central School District. The project approved by voters addresses a number of needed improvements on school grounds. The Waterville Board of Education wrapped up the 2025-26 year with a short meeting. Board members met in public session for 10 minutes June 23 before going into executive session. West Winfield and the Town of Winfield hosted an America 250 celebration Saturday at the Winfield Memorial Park following a large parade through the Village. The event also included a ceremony with singing and speeches by Mount Markham Central School students. Afterwards, people mingled in the park, enjoying games and food until the rain came back.
