Waterville Central School has scheduled a meeting for parents of fifth graders to discuss where they will attend school next year. The March 25 meeting at 6 p.m. in the Auditorium will outline an idea to have next year’s sixth graders attend school at the junior-Senior High because of the construction project at Memorial Park. Last week’s Village elections passed quietly with no surprises. In Clinton Chelsea Burns Spellman received 48 votes for re-election. Newcomer Howard Schaffer received 46 votes for the other seat on the ballot. In Waterville Kayleigh Connors received 28 votes and Brian Bogan received 26 as both were re-elected to the Village Board. Twenty-four people voted in Oriskany Falls along with seven absentee ballots. Trustees Douglas Smorol and Scott Jeffers were re-elected and there were no write-ins.

The Waterville Historical Society announced reservations are being accepted for its 60th Anniversary Gala April 18 at The Stately on Main, Waterville. Tickets are $40 per person or $70 per couple and include a buffet dinner, one drink ticket per person and music provided by The Tweedlers. The event will include a program highlighting Waterville Historical Society’s history in the community, honor past presidents and a silent auction.
