Dino Invasion Hits Clinton

152nd Prize Speaking
Twelve Waterville Junior-Senior High School students competed in the District’s 152nd annual Prize Speaking Contest last week. The event is believed to be the oldest continuous one in the United States. Monetary prizes were sponsored by the Waterville Rotary Club and Brothertown Optimist Club. CCS Elementary Tackles Projects
The Clinton Central School Board of Education met Tuesday evening to discuss new business. The Board approved a resolution to open a public hearing to discuss the updated District Safety Plan. No members of the public spoke. CCS Superintendent Chris Clancy began his report discussing the room naming plaques installed throughout the library. O’Falls Addresses Parking
Despite painting the curbs, yellow cars continue to parking in prohibited spots near the Oriskany Falls main intersection. Cars have been parking on the Thrift Store side of the street, which is not allowed, and in spots on the Tallman’s Diner side that are not open for parking. Cannabis Zones Marked In Town
The Town of Kirkland will look at defining two areas where cannabis shops can set up. At last week’s Kirkland Town Board meeting, Town Attorney Anthony Hallak said there is renewed interest in cannabis establishments in the Town. Discussions earlier this year looked at restrictions on the maximum size of the lot and where the store could go. Kirkland defined two zones. Boot Camp Fitness
