

Waterville Will Buy Field
The Waterville Fire Department and Village of Waterville are working out how to have the Firemen’s Little League Field, barbecue pit and other Department-owned property transfer to the Village. Budgets All Pass
School budgets for 2026-27 passed around the region, including locally. Waterville Central School District’s budget passed 230 to 66. Voters also approved buying new buses 233-62. Elected to the Board of Education for a three-year term were Justin Barth, 245 votes; Stephen Stanton, 199 votes and Pete Casatelli with 82 write-in votes. WCS Awards Project Bids
During a short meeting last week the Waterville Central School Board of Education heard the final review of the 2026-27 budget. District residents voted Tuesday, May 19, on the proposed budget. They also voted for up to three members of the BOE; write-in candidate Jacob Richards attended the meeting. WCS Superintendent Zach Abbe reviewed during the budget hearing and 25-minute meeting the steps should the budget be voted down. If a second vote is needed, it will be June 16. T

Kirkland Will Update Its Comprehensive Plan
The Town of Kirkland is moving forward on updating its 33-year old Comprehensive Plan. Sam Gordon of EDR, a Syracuse-based company that helps municipalities with long-range planning, outlined to the Town Board at last week’s meeting the process for the update. Parking A Concern With Village Green Redesign
While redoing the Village Green in Clinton will eliminate a few parking spaces on East Park Row, the Village contends that enough public parking remains.
