At their third meeting in Clark Mills, the Kirkland Town Board again heard town concerns for them to address. The Board met at the Kirkland Senior Center last week, as they did in August and will Sept. 21 before returning to the Kirkland Town Hall for their meetings. About 25 people attended. At last week’s Clinton Village Board meeting, the majority of the 90 minutes focused on clearing up misinformation spread about the Wastewater Treatment Plant. This month the Barton Hose Co. Fire Department in Deansboro put a new truck on the road. The department has a 2026 tanker pumper in service for its fire district and aid to surrounding districts that carries 2,000 gallons of water. The new vehicle, known as Engine Two, replaces a 1990 truck, which will be sold at auction. With perfect late August weather the annual Clinton Art and Music Festival drew people to the Clinton Village Green and Park Row for music, art, food and activities. Vendors filled the Park and along West Park Row, which included activities for children. More photos, Page 6
