Kids around the area took part in several Easter Egg hunts, finding thousands of brightly colored plastic eggs, and for the lucky few, the golden ones to win prizes. Cold weather on Palm Sunday weekend moved the hunts in Oriskany Falls inside to the Clark Memorial Library and in the Town of Augusta, in the Town Hall. More photos, Pages 6 and 7.

The Mount Markham Central School National Honor Society conducted their annual Easter Egg hunt on the High School lawn on Palm Sunday weekend. A large group of kids showed up despite wind chill temperatures in the teens. Along with the hundreds of plastic eggs filled with candy kids also looked for the special golden eggs for prizes. Ham gets the starring role on the Barton Hose Co.’s annual Palm Sunday Ham Dinner, taking place Sunday, March 29, for the 70th year. But wrapping up the meal is homemade apple pie. Members of the fire department gather for a few hours on a Saturday morning to assembly-line crank out about 100 pies that will be sliced and served as part of the meal. More photos, Page 6
