

Christmas Parade In Waterville
When the annual Parade of Lights had to be cancelled due to weather for the first time in its history, some community members organized a parade for the Saturday before Christmas. Santa and Mrs. Claus met with children at the Waterville firehouse and gave each of them a candy cane and sticker.

WCS Council Members Attend Conference
By Alycia Schick Waterville students attended the 36th annual New York State Council of Leadership and Student Activities conference, themed "Electrify Your Leadership." Plowing Details Under Review
The Town of Kirkland and Village of Clinton will meet this month to discuss a plowing plan. New Kirkland Town Supervisor Garry Colarusso said at the Board’s Dec. 22 meeting that a timetable for discussion was set at a special Town meeting Dec. 15. This year the Town will pay $20,000—an increase of $4,000—for the animal control agreement. Colarusso said the cost had not changed for some years. Sangerfield, Village To Discuss Water Contract
At their November regular meeting, the Sangerfield Town Board adopted the town’s 2026 budget. A few days earlier the Board worked out the details of the budget at a workshop meeting. NYCLASS was again discussed. The Board voted to sign a contract and begin the investment program effective once the town’s bookkeeper, Brynley Wilcox, sends paperwork. Wreaths Across America Ceremonies

CCS Fall Sports Receive Honors
The Clinton Central Schools Board of Education met Tuesday evening to discuss new business. The meeting began with a performance of The First Noel and We Wish You a Merry Christmas by the Chamber Singers. Holidays Celebrated
Waterville Baptist Church hosted its annual Christmas caroling evening for all who wanted to come, sing and hear the story of the birth of Jesus. Pastor Daniel Nelson invited all the children who attended to sing ‘Silent Night’ during the program.
