Voters Decide Spots In Local Elections
Local General Election results: In the race for Oneida County Legislator District 2 Colin Idzi won re-election with 815 votes. Jacob Addington received 570 votes. In the Town of Kirkland, Garry Colarusso won the Kirkland Town Supervisor post with 1,401 votes. Michael Goracy received 627 votes. WCS Grad Named Colonel
Erin Dorrance, formerly Erin Blanchard, was recently promoted to the rank of full Colonel during a ceremony at MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa, Florida. Dorrance is the daughter of Charlotte Blanchard and the late Craig Blanchard of Hubbardsville, Dorrance, a native of Oriskany Falls, is a 1997 graduate of Waterville High School. Following graduation, she spent a year as a Rotary Foreign Exchange Student in Costa Rica, where she wrote a monthly column for the Waterville Times

Recognition At Old Burying Ground
New headstones and memorials were dedicated Saturday morning in the Old Burying Ground in Clinton to commemorate Revolutionary War veterans, Native Americans and African Americans buried there from the early days of Clinton’s settlement. Board Approves Kirkland Budget
The Town of Kirkland’s 2026 budget keeps costs down while also financing some needed projects. At last week’s Kirkland Town Board meeting, the Board adopted the budget of $9,746,243 after a public hearing. The budget falls under the 2 percent increase cap allowed by the state without having the Board approve a larger increase.
