Women Of Worship Honors Local Women

Two local women received an award during the 19th annual Women of Worship celebration at Hart’s Hill Inn in Whitesboro.

Janet Dangler, a member of Deansboro United Church of Christ, and Sherry Robinson, a member of Stone Presbyterian Church in Clinton, were among the nine women recognized for their faith and dedication to their church.

Awards were presented by WOW founder Susan Woods during the luncheon.

Each woman received an award named for a woman in the Bible.

Janet Dangler, given the Rahab Award, exhibits great courage, unselfishly takes care of the needs of others.

Janet became a member of the Deansboro Congregational United Church of Christ in 1959 and has served as the church organist for the majority of those years.

Janet is a consistent and amazing example to her church family (children and adults) of unselfishly taking care of the needs of others.
