Wildcats Fall To Tully In D

A remarkable and historic season by the Owen D. Young/Richfield Springs volleyball team ended after a gusty, never-quit 3-1 loss to Tully in the Section Three Class D championship.

The Wildcats finished 16-2 after making their first trip to the sectional final. Graduating just two seniors, the team, which was the No. 1 seed, could well be back again.

The Wildcats fell behind 5-2 in the first set before a block by Mersades Young and kill by Hunter Ough gave them two points.

A return by Arianna Bevers and an ace by Ough tied it at 10.
