West Winfield Woman’s Faithfulness Recognized

Ilona Pustay, a member of St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in West Winfield, received an award for her dedication to her faith.
Pustay, of West Winfield, was one of nine women in the Mohawk Valley who received the honor for their work with their churches at the 19th annual event.
The event was at Hart’s Hill Inn in Whitesboro and included a luncheon. Women of Worship founder Susan Woods spoke about each woman while handing out her award, which was named after a woman in the Bible. Pustay received the Ruth Award.

The Ruth Award: Exhibits Humility, Loyalty and Faithfulness “Faithful is He who promised, who also will do it. Just as Ruth learned faithfulness from the one she was closest to, the same is true for Ilona Pustay. She serves a faithful God and has been faithful to Him and all of those she lovingly serves with humility. Just as Ruth had to undergo hardships before receiving an abundant blessing in Boaz, Ilona endured hardness like a good soldier.
