Despite the rain the Waterville Historical Society led a celebration of America’s 250th year with activities in the Village Park.
Along with food and games, the afternoon included music and remembrances of July 4, 1776.
A coordinated ringing of the bells 13 times throughout the Village took place at 2:50 p.m. to also mark the day.
Along with coming in costume, the Oriskany Chapter also sold customized pins with photos that said America 250.
