Village Of Richfield Springs Offices Move

The Village of Richfield Springs will be moving its offices.


At the Board’s December meeting, a step was taken to lease 118 W. Main St., first floor, for the village offices.


The village offices have been at 102 Main St. in the Richfield Springs Public Library.


The village will lease the space.


As of mid-December, the Village of Richfield Springs received over 30 zoning applications.


Zoning Officer Joe Roberts gave the report at the Village Board’s December meeting.


Dr. Bailey from Glimmerglass Medical and Wellness told the Board about the medical center he and his partners will be running in the village.


A ribbon-cutting ceremony is set for 11 a.m. Jan. 25 at 68 Main St.


An agreement with Susquehanna SPCA for $2,500 was signed.


At the Board’s November meeting, Heather Devitt from Mohawk Valley Economic Development District explained the project to redevelop the Springs at Westcott Manor, 241 Main St.


A funding request for the project has been submitted to the Empire State Development Corp. from the Restore New York program.


The plan is to renovate the vacant building into an inn, mineral spa and wellness center with individual cottages. for private soaking tubs.


The facility will be open to the public.


Work was almost finished on repairing the library roof.


Richfield Springs Fire Chief Chad Stone said the department lost a washer and generator due to inadequate power supply.


The board supported having the transformer replaced.


In October, the Board approved a bid of $20,000 from Stumpin’ by Mike for tree removal.
