The Village of Richfield Springs held its monthly board meeting Oct. 13.

The meeting covered a bullying problem that has occurred over the past month.

The Board reintroduced the idea of getting a village police officer to patrol around the village.

There is an official 10 p.m. curfew in the Village codes, but an officer is needed to enforce the law.

The village needs help monitoring kids roaming the streets without any supervision, which is how this whole specific situation started.

The issue is compounded by the fact that the village does not have enough money to support such an endeavor.

The Board is open to any suggestions to help stop this issue in the community.

The next Village Board meeting will be Tuesday, Nov. 10.

Interested parties with ideas should make an effort to attend.
