The Greater Winfield Historical Society again hosted its annual picnic for local veterans and their families at the Town of Winfield Memorial Park. Despite the rain, about 50 people attended the picnic under the tent, enjoying a meal prepared by the Red Door Restaurant. Veterans talked about where they served and which branch, and many won American or service flags as door prizes.
