Here’s an update where things stand with the Medical Center Building in West Winfield.
As of now we are awaiting quotes for the work that needs to be performed so we can award the contracts.
On another note, the insurance company has denied coverage. So we’ll need to do fundraising to raise the money needed to get the work done.
We do have folks on the board working on obtaining grants and governmental money, but that’s a long-term process. We want to get started as soon as possible in order to get Bassett back in there and serving the local communities.
To that end, there are several ideas being worked on, including a Brooks barbeque. There is also a fund that’s been started that folks can donate to directly.

We will also have a Venmo account created shortly for another easy way to give. Details coming soon.
Any donations made are deductible on next year’s taxes as we are a 501c3 entity.
As we move forward, we’ll be posting more info in the Star to keep you up-to-date. Also, look for posters soon with all the information on donating.
