The Tri-County Little League softball championship was won by Brookfield this year with a close game vs. Mount Markham. Mt. Markham tied the game in the sixth inning, 4-all.
In the bottom of the sixth, Brookfield had bases loaded, two outs and two strikes when Maggie Walker hit a grand slam to give Brookfield the 8-4 win.
