Town of Richfield Assigns 2025 Duties

At their January meeting the Richfield Town Board set up a number of things for 2025.


These include:


*Appointing the Oneonta Daily Star as the official newspaper;


*The Superintendent of Highways may spend up to $1,500 per purchase without Board approval.


New materials and equipment must be purchased following procurement policy guidelines.


Repairs to currently owned equipment may be made without Board approval.


*Heavy equipment operators are to be paid $25.38 per hour; light equipment operators are to be paid $21 per hour.


*Councilman Ed Bello will oversee the Town Hall, and along with the Supervisor will oversee arrangements for proposed improvements and maintenance for Town Hall/Garage.


*Bill Klemm has agreed to remain as the appointed Zoning Enforcement Officer on an interim basis until a replacement can be appointed.


*Land Use Permit applications are obtained from the ZEO or Town Clerk.


The completed application must be returned to either official along with the $25 fee and any additional costs determined by the ZEO before scheduling a hearing.


All applications will be numbered for audit and control purposes.


The $75 fee for a Variance includes the $25 fee charged for a Land Use Permit.


Special Use Permits are $35 and do not require a Land Use Permit.


*The Town Ethics Board consists of Beth Ann Hammer, Kane Seamon, and Monica Harris.


*Don Urtz was appointed to the Planning Board.


*Dan Sullivan was appointed chair of the Planning Board.


*Dick Johnson was appointed to the ZBA.
