Top Volunteer

The Brothertown Optimist Club presented the Volunteer of the Year program with Courtney Spatto, Waterville, selected as the Optimist Volunteer of the Year. Spatto works at Rome Free Academy as a Licensed Masters Social Worker and coaches modified boys and girls cross-country and girls modified track and field for Rome. She and Matt Lince have two children and live in Waterville. Spatto is a volunteer coach for Waterville AYSO, a Cub Scout leader for Pack 23 in Waterville and has been Waterville’s Minor League and Tee ball coordinator for several years. Spatto also is part of the Route 20 Roadies Running Club which promotes races and run/walks along the Route 20 corridor from LaFayette to Duanesburg. Area Little League President and Optimist member Lee Pavlot commended Spatto for the immense amount of time she devotes to the Waterville Minor League division and thanked her for her dedication.
