A two-car accident Saturday afternoon on Route 20 resulted in three people killed and three others seriously injured.
According to the Oneida County Sheriff’s Department the two-car accident happened in the Town of Bridgewater around 1:30 p.m. approximately half mile east of Route 8. As of Sunday, the Criminal Investigations Unit is investigating the crash with the assistance of the Forensic Identification Unit.
Deputies said Edward Cutler, 51, of Taberg was operating a 2017 Chevy Malibu eastbound on Route 20. The front passenger of Cutler’s vehicle was his wife, Michelle Cutler, 43. The rear seat passenger was his mother Barbara Cutler, 72, also from Taberg.
Edward Cutler and Barbara Cutler were both pronounced deceased at the scene. Michelle Cutler was transported to St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in critical condition and later transported to SUNY Upstate Hospital in Syracuse. Her last condition update was stable.
The other vehicle involved was a 2010 Subaru Forester traveling westbound on Route 20 being driven by Lindsay Bellair, 27, of Brookfield. Bellair is in critical condition at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital.
One of the passengers in her vehicle was her 5-year-old son, Zander Boucher, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
The other passenger, Bellair’s 1-year son, was transported to St. Elizabeth’s Hospital and then transferred to SUNY Upstate Hospital. He was last listed in stable but serious condition.
