Three high school track and field athletes competed in last week’s state meet at Cicero-North Syracuse.
Waterville senior Logan Baker completed his high school running by qualifying for two events.
Baker finished 13th out of 35 runners in the 1600-meter (1 mile) run.
In the 3200-meter (2 mile) run Baker took 19th out of 54 runners.
Clinton senior Georgia Deep qualified for the pole vault in her last chance by setting a school record.
Deep took 27th at the state meet.
Waterville’s Danny Casatelli competed in the 3000-meter steeplechase.
Casatelli, a sophomore, finished 17th out of 32 competitors.
The state championship included athletes from all over the state, who competed in an open class without consideration of school enrollments.
