A new historical sign graces the eastbound lane of Route 20 just before the Route 12 intersection. Facilitated by the Route 20 Association, the new sign describes the Loomis family and their exploits as a gang of robbers and horse thieves. Aiding in the unveiling Saturday were Assemblyman John Salka, a representative of the William Pomeroy Foundation, which paid for the sign; Sangerfield Councilman Dave Wicks, Carol Wood, president of the Waterville Historical Society and Route 20 Association co-president Phil Durkin.
