Tenure Given To Three At Mount Markham CSD

Three members of the staff at Mount Markham Central School District were granted tenure last week.


Recognizing those newly tenured teachers and thanking the seven people who are retiring opened the meeting of the Mt. Markham Board of Education.


Receiving tenure were Tonya King, Elementary teacher; Catherine Gates, Math teacher; and Stephanie Coffin, Science teacher.


Retiring this month are Steve Drescher, High School Math Teacher, -15 years; Julie Stone-Elementary School Teacher-32 years; Toni King-High School Teacher Assistant-22 years; Carolyn Wiswell-Elementary School Special Education Teacher-26 years; Nori Hibbard-Middle School, Math-32 years; Heather Lewis-Hoover- Grades PK-4, Elementary School Counselor-31 years; Jennifer McDonald-Principal, Director of Curriculum-12 years.


To fill some of the positions that will be vacant, Board members approved hiring the following staff members: Shannon Jedricich, Elementary teacher; Shayla Pominville, Elementary teacher; Camryn Stone, Physical Education teacher; and Benjamin O’Connell, Math teacher.


In addition, Carolyn Ainslee and Macalya Carron were hired as long-term substitute teachers. ...
