Tenure Given To Several At Waterville

Waterville Central School District recognized the contributions of several members of the teaching staff last week by granting them tenure.
The evening started with an executive session by the Board of Education and then a short hearing on the 2025-26 Code of Conduct.
That will be adopted at the next meeting July 8.
WCS Superintendent Dr. Jennifer Spring introduced each tenure recipient and spoke about their background and what they contribute to the success of the District.
Receiving tenure:
Emily Morris, a teacher at Memorial Park School. Morris was praised for taking on a number of roles as needed at the elementary school, including Special Education and now as the Spanish teacher.
Meral Dahlin, teacher at MPS. Dahlin was praised for her dedication to students as a teacher of Special Education and Grade 6. She was also said to collaborate with colleagues and has a student first mindset.
