Take A Walk, Read A Book

Katrena Berkovich and daughter Veronika read the next page of the story that began at the Dugway Road trailhead of the Kirkland to Marshall trail. Mom Katie Parker and son Noah also stop during their walk to do the same. The Kirkland Town Library and Waterville Public Library, with help from the Kirkland Trails group, set up a story walk at each end of the two-mile trail. Walking a mile in either direction (or a little less!) and back allows people to read two children’s books. WPL welcomes readers/walkers with a painted rock and a few other hidden treasures along the way. More photos, Page 6
