Superintendent Juggles A Year Of Firsts and Lasts

For Mount Markham Central School District Superintendent Lauren Crisman, this school year marks a series of firsts and lasts.
She took over leading the District in September, coming to West Winfield after spending the last 10 years in the Fort Plain School District.
The move provided both professional and personal advantages, she said.
She and her family have lived in Cooperstown for the last 10 years, so Crisman now has a shorter drive to work.
She and her husband, Andrew Crisman, have two children.
Their daughter is in high school, and son Jackson is wrapping up his senior year at Cooperstown.
“There’s a lot of emotion tied up into this year,’’ Crisman said. “But I wouldn’t change it at all.’’
