A record 118 participants took part in the Richfield Springs Community Center’s annual Sundae Run/Walk Fundraiser with distances of 5 kilometers (3.1 miles) and 10 kilometers (6.2 miles) as well as an untimed two-mile walk. Winners: 5K Mens: Jordan Hoffman, Rome: 15.31; 10K Men’s: Charles Hollister, Oneonta: 40.05; 5K Women’s: Erin Ludwig, Frankfort: 21.29; 10K Women’s: Amanda Conklin, Edmeston: 52.02. The Richfield Springs Volunteer Fire Department provided assistance on the course and Richfield Springs American Legion Post 616 donated use of its facility. Stewart’s Shop was the exclusive Corporate Sponsor. The local Richfield Springs Stewart’s also donated ice cream sundae kits.
