During her summer break before she began her 23rd year of teaching science at Madison Central School, Megan Barnes hit the Historical Society circuit.
Barnes spoke to numerous local Historical Societies about her hobby/second job cleaning forgotten headstones in area cemeteries.
Barnes, who lives in Hamilton and is a 1995 graduate of Waterville Central School, makes videos with biographical information on the headstones she cleans.
That, she told groups attending her presentation that included slides, has levied her no small amount of attention on TikTok’s site.
Barnes has risen to the rare category where the number of views generates some revenue for her.
