Waterville boys varsity basketball Coach Coby Maxam watches as his son, senior Tyson Maxam, looks at the scoreboard after scoring the basket earlier this season that set a record for most points as a varsity player. Both Maxams are ending their time on the Indians sidelines. Tyson will be playing college basketball with a decision still to be made. Coach Maxam, after 17 seasons and 224 wins, said he will no longer coach, but follow Tyson’s on the college court. In 17 years the Indians won eight league titles, two Section Three titles, two Regional championships and made it to the state semifinal in 2014 and state championship game in 2015.
