A fairly quiet General Election next week will see a few local contests for town offices.
All Oneida County voters will choose between incumbent County Executive Anthony Picente and challenger Michael Hennessy. Picente is running on the Republican line and Hennessy is on the TermLimitTaxCut line.
Oneida County Legislator George Joseph and challenger Crystal Faria have a race in part of the Town of Kirkland. Oneida County Legislators Colin Idzi and Chad Davis are unopposed.
Also in Kirkland Town Supervisor Bob Meelan and Council members Melanie O’Neil and Richard Maxam are running unopposed, as is former Police Chief Dan English for Town Justice.
