Sixty Years

Members of the Waterville Fire Department surprised Bob Mayne last week with a little ceremony outside of his house to celebrate the start of Mayne’s 60 years as an active member of the department. Mayne served as deputy chief at one time and then headed up the department’s Fire-Police unit. Along with a plaque, Mayne received a salute through the lights, horns and sirens of the department’s trucks.
