Section Three Chooses 2022 Scholar Athletes


Each of the 106 schools in Section Three recognized two seniors who were chosen as Scholar Athletes.


Each student received a $100 scholarship given at a dinner in Syracuse last month.


Eleonore Collins and Gabe Williams were chosen from Waterville. Collins is this year’s valedictorian.


Collins played soccer and basketball and participated in track and field. She is the daughter of David and Jennifer Collins.


Williams ran cross country and played soccer, basketball and golf. He is the son of Dan and Melissa Williams.


Jenna Deep and Joey DeTraglia were chosen from Clinton.


Deep played field hockey, ran cross country and took part in indoor and outdoor track and field. She is the daughter of Norm and Erika Von Schiller-Deep.


DeTraglia ran cross country and participated in indoor and outdoor track and field. He is the son of Joseph and Alicia DeTraglia.


Sara Brean, this year’s salutatorian, and Danica Karn were chosen from Brookfield. Both girls played soccer, basketball and softball.


Brean is the daughter of Dawn Brean. Karn is the daughter of Sean and Terri Karn.


Myah Hauck was chosen from Madison. She played soccer and participated in track and field. She is the daughter of Joseph Hauck and Shelly Trost.
