Saying Thanks

A big turnout of law enforcement and first responders drew a large crowd of adults and children to Roc-Star Ice Cream in Waterville one night last week. Owner Roc Langone said he wanted to say thank you to those who serve on the front lines every day and especially during the pandemic. Langone recognized Utica Police Officers Chris Manion, who is from Waterville, and Tyler Mowers, whose actions on Memorial Day saved the life of a girl shot in Utica. Retired New York State Trooper Art Ellis was also honored for his longtime service to this area. More photos, Page 6
