Coached by Courtney Roberts, Sauquoit moved on to the championship game by scoring two goals in the second half against Section Five’s Byron-Bergen. The Bees scored their only goal early in the second half to tie the game.

Scoring for the Indians were Olivia Kalil a few minutes into the second half to take the lead. Addison Lazarek hit the game-winner with about 10 minutes left.

Sauquoit’s other appearance in the state title game came in 2008 under Coach Tim Clive.
