RSCSD Seniors Propose Trip

At the February meeting of the Richfield Springs Board of Education, seniors Gabby Seamon, Issy Seamon and Dakota Butler gave a proposal for a senior trip to Ocean City, NJ and Philadelphia, PA.
BOCES District Superintendent D.J. Shepardson presented the 2026-27 Administrative and Capital budgets.
He reminded the board of the Annual Meeting April 1 and the BOCES annual budget vote and board member election April 15.
Director of Facilities Rob Walker presented the proposed maintenance budget for the 2026-27 school year.
Athletic Coordinator Chelsea Owen presented the athletic budget for the 2026-27 school year.
Superintendent Tom Piatti reviewed January attendance and the annual Art Show.
The principals also gave reports. Secondary Principal Patricia Fagan congratulated Valedictorian Issy Seamon and Salutatorian Gabby Seamon.
Board member Brad Smith asked about the transition process for students entering seventh grade.
He recommended teachers also have time to transition in order to meet the needs of the students.
