Victor Zampetti, Mount Markham High School Principal, announced the 2023 Mount Markham Central School Valedictorian and Salutatorian.
Valedictorian is Mackenzie Roth and Abbie Ainslie is the Salutatorian.
Roth, the daughter of Christopher and Mandy Roth of West Winfield, plans to attend Clarkson University for Aerospace Engineering. She will graduate with 40 college credits, having taken College Chemistry, College Pre-Calculus, College Sociology, College Psychology, College Public Speaking, College CPR/First Aid, College Macroeconomics and College American Government through Herkimer College’s “College Now” program and College Statistics and College Geology at MVCC Summer Classes.
Her rigorous course load included AP U.S. History, AP English Language and Composition and AP Calculus AB.
Roth has a long list of awards and activities in and out of school. She has been a member of National Honor Society since her sophomore year. She was Class Vice President in her junior year, a member of Students Against Destructive Decisions (SADD) all four years, President of SADD her senior year, a member of the Yearbook Club all four years, a member of Student Council her sophomore, junior and senior years.
In addition, Roth was a member of Drama Club her freshman and senior years, a member of Science Club her sophomore, junior and senior years, a member of the Mt. Markham Athletic Association her junior and senior years, a member of Speech and Debate her senior year.
