Richfield Springs Accepts Donation For Cleaning

Walmart provided the Richfield Springs Central School District with a pallet of disinfecting wipes to start out the school year.


RS Board of Education members began their August meeting with President Scot Mondore presenting a diploma to Skyler Oakley.


Superintendent Tom Piatti said the district was well stocked with cleaning supplies and facemasks to start the 2021-22 year.


Piatti also congratulated Board member Tom Shypski on reaching the 500 point lifetime achievement milestone earned from participating in various forms of leadership development training. Board members also congratulated Shypski on his achievement.


Secondary Principal Matt St. Peter welcomed Art teacher Jenna Lazovik-Skellie. He also spoke about his weekly newsletter.


Board member Tony Bailey said he was happy that the summer program partnership with Frankfort-Schuyler Central School has been a success. He also complimented Dr. Renee Wilson for her work to increase the student mental health support system within the district and agrees there are student mental health concerns due to the pandemic.
