Repair Needed In Richfield Springs

At the December meeting of the Richfield Springs Village Board, an update was given on matters with the fire department.

Richfield Springs Fire Department Chief Mark Elderkin spoke of issues members of the fire department have with future billing for ambulance services. He will be in contact with village officials regarding this.

Elderkin said an application has been made for a FEMA grant to cover the cost of new turnout gear for the entire department.

The old ambulance is being used temporarily for rescue as the rescue vehicle is out of service.
