Region Supports Trump’s Re-Election

President Donald Trump will return to the office with the support of area counties.


Oneida County voters gave 60.5 percent of their vote to the Republican. Vice President Kamala Harris received 37.5 percent of the vote.


In the Town of Bridgewater Trump won 514-115.


Herkimer County supported Trump 68 to 31 percent.


The county Board of Elections did not have a town vote breakdown on its

website.


While U.S. Senator Kirsten Gilibrand won re-election, Oneida County supported her Republican opponent, Michael Sapraicone, 56 to 43 percent.


Herkimer County supported Sapraicone 65-35 percent.


Congresswoman Elise Stefanik was re-elected 75 to 29 percent.


While Democratic challenger John Mannion beat Congressman Brandon Williams, in Oneida County Williams won 54.4 to 45 percent of the support.


State Sen. Joe Griffo won re- election with 73 percent of the vote in Oneida County. In Herkimer County he won 84 to 16 percent.


Assemblyman Brian Miller carried just under 66 percent of the vote in Oneida County. In Herkimer County he won 82 to 18 percent.


Proposition One carried in New York state, but lost 51 to 48 percent in Oneida County. It lost in Herkimer County 58 to 42 percent.


Madison County went for Trump 56 to 42.5 percent.


Williams won the county 56 to 43 percent.


Griffo, Miller and Joe Angelino carried the county.


Proposition One lost by just under 100 votes.


In the Town of Brookfield Trump won 815-288.


In Otsego County Trump won 56 to 43 percent.


Sapraicone won the county 53 to 46 percent.


While Josh Riley ousted Republican Congressman Marc Molinaro, Riley lost Otsego County 57 to 43 percent.


Proposition One passed by about 150 votes.


State Sen. Peter Oberacker won re-election 61 to 39 percent. Miller won the county 54 to 46 percent.


Charles Furner won a seat on the Richfield Town Board, beating Dan Sullivan 560- 362.


Otsego County Board of Election’s website did not have a vote breakdown by towns.
