Quiet General Elections

As the 2021 General Election comes around next week, few local races are seeing contests.


Some towns have no local races, but voters can still show up to decide a couple of judicial races. Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 2.


Oneida County Legislators Colin Idzi, George Joseph and Chad Davis are all running for re-election unopposed.


In Marshall Town Supervisor Jack Buschmann, Town Clerk Mary Blunt, Highway Superintendent Robert Welch, Town Justice Jason Nackley and Council members Robert Blunt and Ken Ford are all unopposed.


In Kirkland Town Supervisor Robert Meelan, Town Clerk Donna Maxam, Highway Superintendent Jon Scott, Town Justice Jay Williams, Town Council members Garry Colarusso and Donna Yando and Tax Collector Sarah McCullough are all unopposed.


In Sangerfield Town Supervisor William Fredericks, Town Clerk Mary Belfield, Highway Superintendent Karl Buschor, Council members William Lachmann, Dave Wicks and Kevin Kelley and Assessor Phil Barnes are unopposed.


Former Congressman Anthony Brindisi is running as the Democratic candidate for the State Supreme Court Fifth District. The Republican candidate is Danielle Fogel.


Karen Stanislaus is the Democratic candidate for Oneida County Family Court Judge.
