The Town of Kirkland and Village of Clinton will meet this month to discuss a plowing plan.
New Kirkland Town Supervisor Garry Colarusso said at the Board’s Dec. 22 meeting that a timetable for discussion was set at a special Town meeting Dec. 15.
This year the Town will pay $20,000—an increase of $4,000—for the animal control agreement.
Colarusso said the cost had not changed for some years.
The new Animal Sheltering agreement was also approved.
Year-end budget transfers were approved. Kirkland Town Police Department Administrative Officer Shawn Occhipinti said interviews were being done to hire a new part-time officer.
Councilmember Donna Yando, who is retiring from the Board, said she enjoyed her eight years.
Colarusso thanked her and said she took her obligation to serve seriously.
