The Sangerfield Town Board had a Special Meeting last month to talk about a property on Bailey Lake.
Councilman Bill Lachmann discussed the snowplow turnaround with Town attorney Bill Getman. The snowplow turnaround was developed by the town but is not under eminent domain for use.
The Board reviewed the deed to the property in question which was provided by the landowner. The area is also used as public access to the lake.
It was determined the matter is not a town issue, but the current use of the snow plow turnaround might be.
Board members asked Highway Superintendent Karl Buschor for a list of all current snowplow turn arounds.
Board members will contact the Department of Environmental Conservation regarding possible grant funding to purchase and develop the access.
After the public discussion the Board went into executive session.
