Plow Line Repaired On Plainfield Truck

The December meeting of the Plainfield Town Board was at the Town Hall.


Supervisor Todd Lewis opened the meeting with the Pledge of Allegiance.


Dale Brown, Deputy Highway Superintendent, gave the Highway report.


Brown said new employees are working together fine.


One plow had a hydraulic line burst and has been repaired.


The last loader payment lease is due in April.


A new loader should be leased at that time. The walk-in door to the garage is in need of weather seal.


A lot of cold air is coming in. Lewis said he will remedy.


As of Dec. 29 Brown finished his time with Plainfield.


He will be assuming duties as the Town of Winfield Highway Superintendent.


Town Clerk Jon Cockett reported the Town’s share of $4 for the sale of a dog license.


A dollar went to the state Ag and Markets.


November minutes were approved.


The Highway Abstract of $4,912.43 and General Abstract of $5,393.15 were paid.


The agreement between the Highway Department and Town Board was discussed.


Councilmember Connie Peeters has reviewed the former agreement and recommended a handbook style agreement.
