Plainfield Will Repair Sidewalks

A Public Hearing and Regular meeting of the Plainfield Town Board was June 8 at the Town Hall.


The Public Hearing concerned the sidewalk repair using ARPA funding. The sidewalks will be repaired in phases.


Assessor John Davidson reported that there was one grievance. The final roll will be out next month.


There will be little to do over the next few months, other splits and transfers, until it’s time to start next year’s roll.


Highway Superintendent Rod Jennison’s report stated that the Highway Department is ready to start paving. Jennison requested the purchase of 10 tires, which was approved by the Board.


The May Town Clerk reports, Minutes and Abstracts were all presented and approved by the Board.


Information was given concerning a local law regarding the Solar Project Real Estate Taxes.


The Memorial Day report from the Fire Department was given.


Excellus Health Insurance sent a notification of a proposed rate increase.


The Snow and Ice contract needs clarification from Otsego County.
