Plainfield Salt Shed Requires Improvements

The Plainfield Town Board met March 12.
Highway Superintendent Chad Hazekamp said the salt shed is in disrepair.
When the weather is better, the pole building will be modified to house the salt.
The agreement to repair Town roads was approved by the Board.
Hazekamp said rather than spend at least $400,000 for a new plow truck, it might be better to purchase a Ford F600 with plow, wing and sander for about $300,000 less.
The John Deere loader is due to be replaced.
Hazekamp and Town Supervisor Todd Lewis planned to meet with a salesman from John Deere to discuss options.
Damage was done to Meadow Lane due to contractor excavator issues.
A cost for repairing is being given.
Hazekamp said issues with exit signs, electrical outlets, safety data sheets, lock and tag procedures, waste oil containment and grounding of the flammable storage cabinet have been corrected. ...
