Plainfield Roads Being Worked On

The Plainfield Town Board had their regular meeting in June.
The Highway Department report was given by Dale Brown.
About half the roadside mowing is done.
The roads scheduled for surfacing are prepped and ready for oil and stone.
Three good days with no rain are needed.
Ditches have been cleaned and cold patch on designated roads has started.
The Engineering firm is in the process of evaluating the bridge on Pritchard Road due to it being red flagged.
Councilman Mark Stillwell inquired on the process to install culvert pipe for residents and if animal control is considered when installing.
Brown said the Town will install pipe and grate, so animals are restricted from
entering.
The pipe is to be purchased by resident who requested it.
The Financial reports were reviewed and accepted.
Town Clerk Jon Cockett presented his report for May.
Sixty-six dollars was received.
The local share was $37.50 and $28.50 was sent to NYS for Marriage License and Ag and Markets.
The Highway Abstract of $13,199 and General Abstract of $10,784 were approved for payment.
The Board thanked Highway employees Dale Brown and Chad Hazekamp for a great job on the installation of Hometown Heroes banners.
No word has been received from Otsego County Codes on how to get properties cleaned up that have fallen into disrepair.
